Log on and look at the news, NHS staff given vaccine suffer severe allergic reactions! Doesn't sound too good, but no more detail. Then a bout an hour later, it transpires that the 2 who had a reaction carry epi pens already, so must be susceptible to anaphylactic type reactions. I wonder how many more have been put off having the jab ? More scare mongering.

I did ask in a recent post if these vaccines had been tried on people with underlying health issues and was basically tod by some people they had been.

H'mmm.

Maybe they had not tried it on people with this particular problem.
Maybe it's not been tested on every single problem that us humans can have and maybe when these 2 tried it they had the result that they would have expected so would have used the pens they carried?

So you asked someone, and then was told by someone,.............:confused::confused:

They haven't fully tested it, that was argued about in another thread, my point in this thread is the absolute shocking state of journalism, if they haven't got the full story, they make things up, or exaggerate the certain facts they do have. When it was first reported there was no mention of the victims having existing allergies.

The irony. Yet you voted for Brexit without knowing the full story.

Yes, this is well known about the press, it's been proven many times.
Any old ****e will do for a headline.

So should we have better press regulation so they don't print as much made up nonsense?

One mans made up nonsense is onother mans inforned opinion.
How would regulate the press? Would other news media be included,.

This is another RWR defund the BBC post, they glaldly jump on that bandwagon but will spit fury when the words 'defund the police' are mentioned yet these are the same guys that voted for Police cuts through austerity - now tell me how that isn't defunding the police!

Tests normally exclude people with known reactions. That's common sense and standard practice.
The standard is then to do further tests for contra-indications.

The people involved didn't have anaphylaxis, they had a simpler more common reaction, anaphilactoid. And were known to have reactions.

You will have a 1:100,000 reaction to almost any injection. The trick is to know how to overcome and predict it.

Defunding the police isn't about spending less money overall, it's about spending some of the police budget on social services and mental health support. Reallocate the police budge isn't a very catchy strap line though.
