I have what seems to be a common problem judging by the frequency of posts on the subject.
Upstairs radiators (4) are hot, downstairs (4) are cold, except for towel rail in downstairs bathroom which i assume is a "bypass".
Problem has come on gradually, no alterations have been made to system.
Boiler is Potterton, Fan Assisted Balanced Flue Gas Boiler located upstairs, as is the water pump and tank.
I am assuming that there is a build up of sludge etc downstairs and the system needs a clean out, but before I go to the expense, is there any significance of the Bathroom towel rail being hot?
Any info would be gratefully recieved.
