Hye

I've recently installed some coving in my parents house. Its of polystyrene type and now i'm in the position to fill and then paint the coving.
I was wondering if there was a special type of filler that i must use or can i use the adhesive to fill the joints.

Also what type of paint shall i use and do I require an undercoat?

Any help appreciated. :D :D

you can use decorators caulk to fill any gaps. Or decorators filler. Comes in mastic type tubes.

Then plain old emulsion to paint it with.

How many coats do you recommend

This decotaters filler, do i have to sand it slightly to get it smooth?

Also any tips on filling?

Thanks for the help so far

put it on as a bead like silicone and then use a wet finger to smooth it down before it goes off. You cant sand it down after and if you try youll ruin the polystyrene finish.
