All, is it ok to have a 22mm full bore isolator on the outlet of a megaflo ie the hot water draw off at the top? The guy mentioned he is going to have to come back to me as he thinks that is not to regs? But surely it is only the same as having all outlets closed the safety devices will eject any over pressure/temp. I think he is getting confused with a vented system?

As long as all the safety kit is correctly located, you can put an isolator on the hot outlet. You could even put one on a vented cylinder provided hot was tee'd off first leaving a clear open path from cyl outlet to open vent.

Should of asked to see proof of his G3 certificate/competence seeing as what he's mentioned has sod all todo with gas safe.

He only mentioned it when he noticed it. He did mention about when he done his G3 course perhaps he was at the back of the class dreaming about boiler bashing

If you can post a good photograph showing the associated pipework then we can tell you if there is likely to be any real problem.

Provided all the safety devices are in place then that valve is fine, I always put a valve on the hot outlet, saves depressurising the cylinder if you want to work on the DHW pipework

Cheers Muggles that's why it was there. It is a house I changed into a H.M.O. and I completed units 1 by 1 and it came in very handy whilst installing the 4 ensuites as people wanted to move in whilst building work was going on ie room 1 was completed but still working on other 3.

Tony will get you a photo

Cheers all
