Just HOW do I get a quote for a cantilever carport ?

How come you don’t want one with legs?

The pictures might help explain.
Area is narrower at the back and at the front of the bungalow. I believe we will need planning permission and I thought a cantilever, being neater and needing no support legs would be the best option. length of bungalow is 4.65m, opening width 3.5m narrowing to 2.7m
If we go for a legged one then it does restrict the reverse turning in order to exit onto the road correctly and the wider size complicates the issue.
However I am now wondering, after further research, if the bungalow height will take a cantilever ?

I'm no builder, but looking at those pics it seems any cantilever support on the bungalow wall would have to go right to the roof apex to provide enough leverage to counter the weight of a leg-free carport. That would mean fixings in the top course or two of bricks, which in turn would mean those bricks could easily pull out. Even one leg, half way along the carport and fixed in/on that road-side wall, would reduce stress on the bungalow wall dramatically.

Yes, the wall is ours. We had it completely rebuilt last year using the old stone as it was a bit wobbly. Foundations are good and it is a solid structure. I did have it done with the carport in mind and using it to sit legs on. I then thought that a cantilever was a better looking choice and possibly more planning friendly.
I have an open mind and am exploring all options so all the comments are most welcome and useful.

You are not far off our original idea. We did consider a wooden structure with a pitched roof to match the roof line and two square posts sat on the wall with the roof butted up and fixed to the bungalow wall but it would have to have been a bespoke structure probably built to measure and the ££££s began to add up. Plus the bungalow is 1970 brick/stone and white plastic (which we have reduced slightly) but no timber. Something like this ...
It still remains a thought but down the list now.
