KA struts

Does any one know if you have to compress the springs to replace the struts on a Ford KA (51plate) front and rear,cheers!

Definitely on the front...can't recall on the back as I've never done these but normally if the shock absorber is disconnected the wishbone drops down far enough for you to get the spring out.

if your replacing the complete thing, ie if you`ve bought a used complete one from a scrappy then no, just replce the whole thing, if your replacing just the shock and it has a spring then yes, otherwise watch it go into orbit and hope it doesn`t take your head with it..........
