Recently, when using my Karcher 520M on flag cleaning duties, I noticed (for the first time) that oil was leaking (usual visual signs in Water on Path I was cleaning).

I suspect I have an Oil seal problem, 'BUT' am unsure ['which'] seal is the likely culprit!

Can anyone advise on likely cure, with perhaps a part No. and where I can get a replacement. (Can fix it myself if I can obtain correct part).

Any input would be appreciated

This is a very difficult one, without actually seeing the machine.
However, I would expect a seal failure between the electric motor and the drive to the pump mechanism - its actually a grease filled chamber.
So its only guesswork, and maybe someone else will know better but the grease seal number is 7.367-008.0.
I order direct from Karcher on 01295 752083.
I emphasise though it would make more sense to strip the machine to find out, as far as possible, where the leak is.

Most greatful for your valued input 'Burnerman' and for the Seal Number etc.

Would you know if there is a Specific Grease recommendation for these machines and would it be freely available? (Halfords etc?).

Hope you can help!

I only know that its available in 50ml tubes - sorry I've no idea of the grease spec.
I've just googled 520m spares and there's a pdf to look at.....it could help!
Please be aware I'm just guessing at the problem for your machine!
John :)
