karcher problem help please

Hi I have a karcher k3.68
It has lost all pressure. It was leaking everywhere so took it apart found a crack in the cylinder head which I since replaced.
No leaks since but no pressure either. The fan comes on and stays on but sometimes goes on off on off. But mainly it stays on. I read somewhere this could be the capacitor. But want to be sure as I've already spent time and 20 quid on the cylinder head. I've checked the other bits and pieces whilst changing it and everything seems intact. I've checked the filter also and it's clear.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also I have a megger tester so any advice on testing the capacitor or anything else would be of use.

I would assume a squirrel cage motor so unlikely to alter speed either it runs or it does not run. So the big question does the motor run.

It sounds like it does.

If motor is running then not a capacitor. There are a load of valves on any high pressure washer any one could be stuck open.

That was the fault on a friend's power washer, stripped and rebuilt twice before the defective valve was found.
