hi

i am in the process of gutting my living/dining room. i am putting karndean in the dining room on 6mm ply, there is no wall/doors between them. i am renewing the skirting so this will be getting fitted after the karndean has been layed. the problems i have is the fact that the skirting will be a little higher on the carpeted side so there will be a gap under the skirting of approx 9mm. is this ok for the carpet fitter to tuck the carpet into?
the other problem i have is where the carpet meets karndean, her who must be obeyed!! wants a strip of wood as the threshold, its approx 10 ft. i'm thinking the carpet fitter can lay gripper rods up to neasr the karndean and stretch it, then all i need is a long threshold (or two) strips for the join. Can anyone help please.
