I'm going to have a go at fitting Karndean in my living room. Can anyone give me any tips regarding the laying and cutting of the strips? I will be laying the tiles onto pva primed 6mm ply.

The normal cutting machines are about £600 which is a tad too expensive for a one off DIY job. Is there any alternative tool that would do a similar job or better still anywhere that I can hire a cutter from?

Thanks

i guess your talking about a guillotine? I have one and use on maybe 20% of my jobs! You do not need one! All you need is a stanley knife basicaly! Its hard to try and put in writing how to fit, you might be better booking yourself on a Karndean BASIC fitting course! They are based in Evesham and are a couple of hundred quid. You will learn a great deal!
