yes it is a vinyl flooring so it is designed for wet areas
the problem is if you are laying it yourself you invalidate the guarentee because it is ment to be fitted by a karndean approved fitter but in answer to your question decorators caulk the gaps up
Ensure when you come to lay it that you use a 1.5mm notched V trowel and let the adhesive go tacky for 15 to 20 mins before you start to lay.
I always prep the border first and cut the pieces before I spread the adhesive.
Do not place the strips flat. let the strip sit on your shoulder and place the first inch or two then gently bring the rest of the strip down. If you try to lift a misplaced piece you WILL cock it up.
I prefer Amtico but to be honest they look the same.
Take your time and have a good supply of stanley blades.
