Keep finding Hidden Diy Disasters from prev owner

Hi keep finding some crazy diy disasters the previous owner has left me.

Heres one that is covered on both sides by plaster board.

How can i fix it with cement/mortar or should i worry? what could of they done to cause it?

If you have bought a home of an age there is no doubt you will come across some bad workmanship by previous owners, you are going to have to accept that.
The area you are highlighting between units, just needs patching up this can be either a cement are plaster repair.
It's likely the damage was caused by the removal of skirting. The nails or even adhesives, can often damage the surface below when being removed by pull the wall's rendered surface away.

To be honest im actually enjoying finding most of the crazy workmanship some is funny. Also it looks like the skirtings ripped brick out with it lol
