Hi
I have fitted 6 Luceco FType Compact Adjustable 6W Dimmable 3000K IP20 Fire Rated Downlights in shed
and connected to existing 3amp fcu which runs into consumer unit in cabin.
The problem Im having is the 3amp in fcu and the consumer unit 6 amp trip switch keep blowing Im getting an electrician to have a look but still would like to know what you all think.
Regards Rob

They come on and stay on and the fuse and MCB trips after a time?
Or
When switched on the fuse and MCB trips straight away?

The latter = you've wired them up wrong and probably have a Live-Neutral short somewhere.

I wired 3amp plug to test lights , they turn on with socket switch ok but blow when using 1 gang switch on wall

Pictures???

But still points to a L-N short on the cable exiting the fused switch and feeding the lights.

Use a multimeter to check (if you have one)? With mains to shed isolated (both poles).

Why would you sleeve the neutral with cpc sleeving? If it works on a fly lead, I’d be expecting the fault at the wall switch/fcu.

Hope this helps :)

Have you wired them, or at least one wrong, going by traditional colour scheme? Although, their image shows what is normally neutral going into L!

A 3amp plug just to test the lights then I was going to use a 3amp Switched Fused Spur
Eh ? The cable shown in your pic of the switch can't be connected directly to a plug ,where would the connection to the lights be ?
As I asked earlier is the neutral connected to the switch ,it appears it might be.
Your replies are not making much sense to be frank.

The top diagram is what you appear to have, the switch puts a deadshort between Live and Neutral

The bottom diagram is what you need

The cable from the supply goes to the switch with a second cable from the switch to the lamps

At the switch one Brown ( Live ) goes to the COM terminal and the other Brown ( Switched Live ) goes to the L1 terminal,
The two Blue wires ( Neutral ) are connected together in a terminal block
A second termial block connects the two Earth wires together
