Potterton Flamingo IIRS20-30
Ive had a corgi reg chap out this afternoon. He says the pump is ok and that the particular model does not have a fan, burners and flu ok. apart from that he is stumped. any ideas.
I have had the noise re-assesed by the wife and can confirm it does sound like a kettle

VERY VERY common on a flamingo as has been advised boiler silencer or sentinel x200 both should quieten it down

Did you just dump it in header tank or did you drain a good bit of water out first.. x200 sometimes takes a couple of bottles.

Put it in the header tank and stirred it about, drained a bucket out the bottom and tipped it back in the top (with the float tied up).

System capacity is about 20 galls UK.

Tie ball valve up let hose run for five mins .Close drain cock add x200 and release ball valve that way it all goes into the system. The way you have done it doesnt always allow it to all enter the system and it stays in header tank... better to put it direct into a rad.....
