key snapped in barrel...

Could do with a bit of help here folks, l've snapped of the house key in the double glazed front door barrel and its snapped the key flush with the barrel so l cannot get anything onto the piece left in the door... so any ideas would be great.......... :oops: :oops:

erm erm erm, very small drill bit, followed up with a very small screw. insert and withdraw key.

I imagine you'll need patience, a steady hand and a few spare bits.
 
just make shure the barrel is fully vertical in to release the key

As big-all has indicated above - ensure the broken bit is vertical (same position as if you'd just put the key in without turning it), and then insert a spare key into the other side of the cylinder and push. This should push out enough of the broken bit to remove with pliers.
 
super glue on the end of the key that broke off ( the bit in your hand i mean ) and then stick it back to the other part..

hold it there for a few mins and pull gently..

paper clip straightened and pushed in from the other side..? assuming that you can get in / out to the other side of the lock and that it's not a thumb turn..
