I hope somebody can help

The above car engine has shut its self down to what i would call "limp home mode" Its limiting its self to 2200rpm, no matter how far you push to throttle. I have had the GFlag out but they said go to a dealer. This morning i have wiggled some wires under the bonnet and it fixed the problem for a short period. I stopped and started the engine twice and had no bother. The 3rd time the problem came back.

Does anybody know what the problem could be and which wire i need to wiggle/clean the contacts of. I cannot afford to go to a garage and i need my car tomorrow.

At the risk of being shot down in flames, i would say you have a sensor down of some sort to put the ECU into limp mode.
You may have to go to a garage to get the codes read/diognostic check
