Kick board fitting

I have recently had a Howdens kitchen fitted. The kick boards will not stay in place at all. The fitter had put the plinth clips and brackets on every other cupboard leg. I have since fitted them to every leg but they don’t stay in place at all despite this.

It’s like they aren’t clipping onto the legs fully. Are there any alternatives.

Fitted correctly they don’t fall off.

Maybe the clip is catching the leg on the adjuster thread (thin bit) and not the 'fat' bit that's the same diameter as the clip. Praps the clip needs to move up?
