Well i had intended to remove this lead pipe anyway (as you could see it in the wall)
But having just put a screw through the pipe my need is somewhat more urgent now !!!!!
Ive closed of the water at the old stop tap so its stopped (well its still trickling which I assume is just water from the upstairs trickling back
So i need to blank this off
I saw this on screwfix
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/85874/Plumbing/Brassware/Lead-Lok-Compression-Fitting-7lb-15mm
Which I suppose would just lead me to normal 15 mm pipe which I'd then cap.
Is there nothing that can fit direct onto the pipe and cap at the same time
PS my lead pipe say 1/2 * Seven
so the fitting in the link should fit
PS never worked on lead before....whats the best way to cut it??
