Hello everyone

I have just had an oak kitchen installed (oak and oak veneer). We are now debating how to treat the cabinets. I'm thinking of using Colron Natural Danish Oil. Before I commit, I'm going to do some samples to ensure that I'm happy with the finish when it dries.

My question is whether Danish oil is the best oil to use on kitchen cabinets or whether there are any problems with using it. Also, has anybody experienced any problems with Colron Danish oil as a brand?

Thanks

I've used it on a few pieces of oak furniture i have made and it's been fine.

My experience of Danish Oil is it looks great and is easy to apply and maintain but isn't durable when in contact with water.

A few years ago I used Danish Oil on a new Oak bannister rail, it still looks great.........except where my four year old has slobbered over it!
