My Husband and I recently decided to do a low cost re surfacing of my kitchen. Then we painted the walls in a goldish yellow, then changed the look of our countertops with fleck stone spray paint. I washed down the counter, let it dry, primed it, sprayed it with the hunter green and then finished it with the clear varnish spray. I also then painted right over the linoleum floor tiles with regular wall paint,in a terracotta color.

thats a novel idea, what was the surface of your counter tops made from? (what i mean is were they the origonal "formica" stuff) and how long ago did you do it? (what i mean is is it durable?)
