I want to put up some kitchen cupboards on a dot-and-dab plaster board wall. There is a solid wall about an inch or so behind the wall. What are the best fixings to use for the brackets?

pad saw and a piece of 2x1 timber..
cut a hole out of the dot 'n' dab and screw the timber to the wall, then screw the brackets through the timber to the wall..
