I've been redoing our kitchen and on removing one of the cupboards I found a ventilation pipe now gaping in the middle of patch of wall (Where I'm no longer having any cupboards).
I could fit a vent over it (at the moment it's just a 100mm ventilation pipe full of cobwebs!) but if it's not a requirement I'd rather brick it over and plaster it.
Is this vent hole a building regs requirement due to the kitchen extractor a couple of feet away on one side? due to our oil-fired boiler a couple of feet away the other side? Or can I remove it?
Thanks
