Quick Question - I had an extractor hood on order that needed a 120mm vent hole through the wall. Hired a cutter, cut the hole and fitted all the vent kit ready. The wall has now been plastered.

Sadly had to cancel order for various reasons but ended up ordering a different hood. Only now have I noticed that it needs a 150mm vent.

Other than having to step down from 150 to 120 for the hose, does anyone know if this will cause any issues, other than maybe a slight drop in extraction rates?

Should be fine, many hoods are fitted with 120 -150mm fan units and then stepped down for 100mmm pipework.
