Hi there,

First time I have ever made a home insurance claim, and wondering how this is going to work.

We have had a leak from the mains connection to the integrated dishwasher and the chipboard floor is ruined.

To obviously get to the the damaged area will require the kitchen units to be ripped out, and some tiles (which are no longer made) to be ripped up as well.

Questions really are

A) Will they carefully remove units and re-install or rip them out and get new one's

and

B) Cover the cost for ripping up and re-tiling the full floor

Cheers

you need to be a bit careful here if you altered the plumbing and that could be the cause then it could be counted as your fault
all i am saying give them the information they ask for tell the truth but be wary off what you say
anyway you should be fine assuming youve had your insurance for years :D

it will be returned to an as before situation this usually works out to be complete renewal off effected items with the same or simmilar

dont be fobbed off with part replacement if they dont match
