Kitchen Island over concrete

Hi,

The floor in my kitchen is concrete and I'd like to have an island with a sink on it.

For waste, will I have to cut into the concrete, allowing a gradient for drainage for the waste pipe?

Unless you can run the waste to, and around a wall, this is your only option

You need a fall of 1 inch per metre

I read somehwere that i'll need to vent the pipe, is this true or will a trap and then straight/sloped pipe to outsidebe ok?

No need to vent unless it is a very long run and you can get round it by using an anti syphon trap anyway
