Kitchen Ring Main

Are you allowed to spur off a kitchen ring main to another socket in another room (dining room) or is the kitchen classed as a special location. Reason I ask is that I would like to install another socket in my dining room and the easiest way is to spur of the back of one of my kitchen ring mains sockets.

you can spur from any point on the ring. are you puttin at directly behind the existing socket or is the wiring going straight into the other room?

if you take the cable straight thru to the other room then it should not be notifiable since your not doin the work in the kitchen

Socket will be on wall behind existing socket, just lower down.
