Hi all,
Just swapped some mixer taps over on the kitchen sink the original had the hot feed on the left to keep the taps marked the same ie hot on left and cold on right ment that when fitted the lever taps operated the other way i.e levers in for off and push away to open.
Having just done this have a proplem with the central heating and wondered if the tap valves ceramic are only ment to work one way and some way the rising main was pressurising the hot feed ?
Could be coincidence as turned off boiler while drained down cold and hot water pipes , think I will strip it down and swap around so pull in is on as the old unit and swap marked caps over hot and cold would be interested to know if the are only designed to work one way.
Thanks
Zeberdy
