Had an ikea Belfast sink fitted for a few years and it frequently fails to drain properly. Before replacing it with UK spec pipes, is the waste pipe in the wrong position? It’s sited 550mil off the floor. As you can see I use a plinth the raise the flexi pipe - it doesn’t help much lol. Have included pic of waste pipe from outside.

OP,
Remove all Ikea material including sink wastes & trap - remove waste pipe from unit to gully. All can be replaced with, say, McAlpine or similar products.
Empty unit of all paraphernalia.
Do you have W/M or D/W?
Picslooking down at Belfast sink, and pic inside the unit after removals & clearance, might help?

Whoever installed it unfortunately was either an idiot when it comes to installing waste pipe, tied his horse up outside or just didn't care.
As suggested, relatively straightforward - It needs a reset. A new standard 11/2-2 bowl sink P trap and waste setup, see how that lines up with the outflow and then adjust the height of the pipe through the wall accordingly. Any time I install an Ikea sink, I don't even take the trap that comes with it out of the bag, it goes straight in the bin.

McAlpine are usually gold standard, but alternatives are available. Viva are reasonably priced, as are Wirquin.

If there was a countertop sink before the butler sink then odds are you'll need a new hole through the wall.
Ah - OK, I presumed it was someone professing to be a professional that had installed it ....
..... so the 4th 'softer' option in that list should have been - 'A DIY'er that maybe didn't know the best way to do things.'
There was indeed. Is there a rule of thumb for the position of the hole? My googling skills seem to have let me down on that front. I suppose I’ll find out after installing the kit - wherever the waste joint lands, that’s the hole.
Better add a 40mm+ hole saw to the shopping list.

Low down is better, then come up inside the unit. Will be ok for any future changes then as well.

Well I’ve ordered a McAlpine 1-1/2(2) kit, two 90 compression elbows and 3m of 40mm push fit waste pipe (assuming that works with compression joints), two McAlpine strainers with overflows and a 40mm sds core bit.
Dreams of the washer/dryer draining consistently and not producing the occasional soaked load after being on hot dry for 2hrs.
I'd have used a 50mm core bit but that's me.

Yup +1 ... defo make it larger than 40mm, if it's a normal solvent weld ABS pipe then it's already 43mm OD.
... and also as suggested - if you're dry coring through a double skin brick wall, you'll need a proper clutched corer drill, otherwise the first jamm'er it makes could end up really painful.
