The drain/fall pipe from the conservatory runs at an angle/diagonally under the kitchen window to the drain.

Just fit a new kitchen and I need to plumb in the sink. This waste pipe needs to exit the wall and go to the same drain as the fall pipe from the conservatory.

Is there any reason why I can't run the 40mm waste pipe from the kitchen into the fall pipe using a boss? as opposed to taking a full run of 40mm pipe to the same drain.

What are you refering to as a 'fall pipe'? If this is the 110mm soil pipe from a W.C. then fine, however a 68mm rainwater downpipe wont be possible as a boss does not exist for that type of connection.

Secondly, did the previous sink waste go to this drain? If yes then fine, if not you need to ascertain that the drain you are planning to use is connected to the foul sewer, and not a storm drain or soakaway.

the boss adaptor you,ve highlighted fits into a boss strap, which allows a waste pipe, to connect into a hole you cut/ drill into a 110mm soil pipe , as hugh advised you of in the first reply
