Has anyone ever fitted solid (eg. granite or other) worktops please? Is this a DIY job or not? How is it done - including joining two together. I'm assuming these will be custom made to order with no trimming or modification once delivered though if this is possible, please tell me also.

A job for the pros,if your going to spent all that money it needs to be done right
I've fitted a few and youi joint them with polyester resin. The same stuff as is used in car bodywork. I have found a supplier in south London who supplies and fits cheaper than I can buy. They did mine. Galaxy Black granite it looks lovely.
