Hi,
I am a first time owner and about4 months ago I had new tiles laid onto my kitchen floor after a accidental leak about 8 months ago. The previous tiles were all loose and the grout completely cracked as the tiles had been laid straight onto a subfloor which let water in(cheap buy to let) so I had the tiles replaced and new backing was put onto the floor. I have noticed recently that the grout in the new tiles have very fine hairline cracks in some tiles.
The floor that the tiles have been laid onto is a suspended floor over a bathroom and is quite springy, the building is an older building from the early 1900s. I have tapped on the floor which does feel solid and none of the tiles have lifted and feel very secure. Not all the tiles have these cracks in just the area where I stand most often by the sink. I am also very worried now that somehow the subfloor has failed and it will collapse.
I am a first time homeowner and am rather nervous about things going wrong.
I’ve attached some images of the tiles here for reference.
Thank you.
