kitchen wall paint- Eggshell or soft sheen.

Thanks for that. out of thee Zinser bin and Crown which would you advise? I know the Zinser needs meths to clean it but see that the crown is water based

I have been using BIN for years. When I first started using it, I used cheap throw away brushes but the finish was subpar. As time went on, I discovered that you can use household ammonia to clean the brushes. Meths merely thins the paint. Ammonia completely breaks it down completely (very quickly). I now happily use £20 brushes when applying BIN. I pour the ammonia into old jars, dip the brush in the ammonia, agitate the brush and rinse it in a sink. I then put the lid on to use it further down the line. Absolutely no residue is left behind in the sink.

Thats what I went for in the end. It doesnt seem to cover as well as Zinser, but is much easier to use.
I put on 2 coats just to be safe and then will do 1 or two of the primert undercoat.
Thanks
I find it easier to use ...but you are right it doesn't cover as well as zinser

I always use two coats of these specialist primers ......you don't want to be doing it all again
