I intend to move the kitchen sink which will mean burying the waste pipe under the kitchen floor (to be laid with slate) - a distance of eleven feet. Are there any problems I should be aware of?
If you dig the waste pipe deep enough to get adequate fall, which as Bahco said is about four inches, you run the risk of perforating your damp-proof membrane in your floor, which is never a good thing. Eleven feet is also a long way to go, at that distance I'd be looking at upgrading to two inch waste pipe, in which case you'll need to dig even deeper
