Hello
I am in a process of fitting new work tops to my kitchen. The kitchen is in an L shape and I want to join the two edges neatly. I dont have a router and want a flush and router finsih to the joints. Can anyone recommend a method?

I was thinking of joining the two surfaces underneath with two metal strips and nut and bolt.

Any help appreciated

If the work top is postformed ie rounded on the front edge, you have no alternative but to use a router if you want a flush joint.
You can hire the equipment for around £45 from the major hire centres.
but I suggest you practice on an off cut before you start to cut your main pieces.
Good luck
