Kitchen worktop holes repair

Two holes in the worktop left after new boiler installation and previous pipework tidied up a bit. Both 22mm. One has a cable from an electronic water conditioner running through it. Best way of sealing/covering them?
Foam and paint, silicone and paint, epoxy resins?
They're both next to the wall and in a corner, so not worried about looks, as long as it's effective.

Well, don't have any old laminate... Need to go and look for some off cuts. Or just fill the holes with something.

Another option is a fablon type material, this comes in work top style affects so you could match as best you can then stick it over the holes
