Is there a particular knack to building a 2 metre high single story cavity wall?

I intend raising the outer leaf brickwork around 500mm ahead of the inner block work, and will push the cavity bats onto the wall ties before raising the blockwork.

It's a small extension and there are so many windows, doors, corners, etc that I doubt I'll get many uncut cavity bats in, if that's relevant.

Thanks

Not quite sure what you are asking. Theres lots of little knacks to most building tasks. What bricklaying experience have you had before ? As usual raise the corners, string a line and fill in.
Lots of openings ? Don't forget the extra ties around openings, one every block height. And try not to drop mortar on the top edges of the cavity batts.
Simon.

I'm happy with 'brikkying' generally, raising corners, line stringing etc. It's more the best strategy for order to build skins and fit rockwool cavity bats.

Any obvious weak points require doubling up on tie wires which in turn means cutting insulation.

Don't fit the tie wires too close to the reveal else this will interfere with the cav' closers.

I could go on but i won't as i could be here all night. :p
