laminate floor beading

just laid a laminate floor in the kitchen. went to put the beading down around the plinths at the bottom of the units and it wont stick. tried using silicone but it keeps popping off. any ideas what i could use. thanks

in kitchens and bathrooms i use caulk to fill the gap and don't use beading.

i would try contact adhesive or polyurethane wood glue - these tend to work when others don't
 
why did you not just take the plinths of then put floor under then trim the plinths to size also use a nailer to attach the beading to the plinths

cutting the plinths to size as GHFlooring says works well - i do same wherever i can.
