laminate floor cutout

Have a floor laminated right up to a wall I want a new fireplace against.
Any ideas on how to do a cutout for a hearth without lifting the whole floor?

Routering along straight edges,flooring saw or or tenon saw and sharp chisel

Bosch multitool, [180e] timber baton screwed to inner side to act as a guide.
Most laminate is thin mdf so if you have no power tools a stanley knife and patient will get you thru it cleanly [again use a baton as a cutting guide.]

Yeah the multi-tool gets my vote! If your in luck lidl do a cheap parkside jobby that will do well as a one off.
