Ive just layed 6mm ply on my kitchen floor and was wondering if i can lay laminate straight on top....its flat with no bounce .....or should i still use underlay

Go look at underlays as lots of different ones. Take a look at QA Produts website as helps with choice but you can't buy off them but will give you a idea

I know Karndean looselay, (which is a looselay vinyl) doesn't

"Timber floors should be overlayed with 6mm plyboard then primed with diluted Neoprene or PVA primer."

Laminate flooring however requires a Polyfoam underlay over ply.

So, if you havn't already bought the laminate, you might want to go for some vinyl instead... looks and feels better in my opinion and is easier to fit.
