I am debating on having a textured laminate oak colour floor in bedroom and dining room. Do you need to change skirting to match colour or does white skirting look ok. I cant find any pics of rooms to compare.

You could also go into one of the big DIY stores - they often have a metre or so of laminate flooring made up as a demonstration - then go to an aisle with some white wood, or plastic - take it back to the flooring, stand back and admire
Skirting is not to expsensive or difficult to replace should you decide that it doesn't suit your taste, or you could give your existing skirting a lick of paint, or wood effect (i.e. Paint & Grain)
