I want to lay laminate T & G flooring in a conservatory. However there is a manhole (flush with the rest of the floor) near the patio doors. Is there a way I can lay the flooring and still have fairly easy access to the manhole if I need it?

Someone suggested I could plane off the tongue/groove from a couple of boards so I can lift them out if needs be. Is this a good idea?
