Lamp fixture help!

Hi all,

I recently purchased a pendant lamp from a website, who informed me that a domestic three pin plug could be fitted to it. The lamp I'm talking about is this one...

It's double insulated (no earth) 220-250V, 40W, but I have no idea what fuse I should be using? Can anyone help?

Why would you want to pup a plug on it ,its a pendant light?

40w/230v=0.174A
The next normal size up for a plugtop fuse is 3A.
You spent £50+ on a lampholder
It'll look lovely with an energy saving light bulb in it too

And yes, it's a pendant light - it's not really designed to be plugged into a wall socket.
