Sorry, clearly not a DIY post but hopefully more appropriate here than in 'Trade Talk'.
I'm looking to take on a job running distribution pipework for a community heating project in a block of flats. (Quite a big project if I get it!)
Does anyone know of a 2" plastic pipe for C/H and DHW?
I'd rather not use iron if I can help it and I'm hoping to find something cheaper than copper for the hot water.

From memory:

ABS pipe will go to 80C, but only at very low pressure.
PVC will take up to 60C at pressures of up to 2 bar (Class E)

Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure if either are suitable.
It's running off a big multi so mains pressure and hot flow temp.
Do you know of any industrial pipe suppliers who take small orders?

Why not PEX, they do preinsulated. Rehau & Wirsbo are the major manufacturers ISTR.

For the heating, what about a carbon steel crimp system like Sanha or Xpress?
Or a push-fit system such as Tectite Advance?

I thought this was h&c dis and CH in a block of flats?

That big pre insul is for the trenches outside.

Thanks for all your suggestions.
The pre-insulated stuff may be a good idea if I can fit all that insulation in the service duct!
Plenty of ideas to investigate.
