Since reducing the TRVs on all upstairs rads to 5 (one below max), this problem rad now gets hot after some time. It still does not get piping hot like some of the other rads do.

If I turn the other rads off completely, then it gets piping hot.

Im going to give the 25 80 a try then, as it does seem like that would help.

On the question of the ABV, i put my hand on the bypass pipe and it gets hot even though the zone valves are open. I thought the point of it was to take heat away in case of a failure in the zone valves. Perhaps Ive misunderstood how it works.
