Latest heatbank

Our system has been in since 89 the return to the boiler is pumped there's no valves at all its a bummer when the bubble bursts when your in the bath.

I take it thats all i,m going to get then i,m not trying to be clever Dan i,m just saying that is the system i have. I,ve been doing wet plumbing for about 11 years mainly bathrooms and kitchens but not much work on heating systems as i leave that to the guys who do heating systems.
But what i notice on this forum is that some of the trades people rip into the so called DIYER and assume they are all stupid.

Gledhill provide good electrical schematics on their manual.
You'll definitely have pipework to change over.

Rip out the old then you start from there.
Basically you'll have f&r to heat the store, cold mains inlet to the plate heat exchanger and hot distribution to the taps.

The only reason i ask is its basically the same as the old gledhill cylinder where the water is combined only difference is the hot water is mains pressure through a plate heat exchanger.

Thanks for the replys.

Are you going to run it as dhw only? (ie- not integrated with the heating system)
That keeps things simple. And with only one heating appliance its the way to go imo.

Thanks Rodger i had a bit of a bashing last time i mentioned a thermal store on here, i know they call them sludge buckets i know i could put a combi in and i know all the issues that everyone has mentioned i just want to change my primatic cylinder and also have a woodburning stove installed plus if i leave it open vented i can do it without the need for G3.

At the moment Rodger we have a kingfisher MF 100 with a gravity and return and a pumped return back to the boiler supplying hot water and heating all together.
