Latest immigration figures

A Home Office spokesperson said:“The British public have had enough of seeing people die in the Channel while ruthless criminal gangs profit from their misery and our new plan for immigration will fix the broken system which encourages migrants to make this lethal journey. People should claim asylum in the first safe country they reach – rather than making dangerous journeys to the UK. That is why we will have rules in place to make asylum claims inadmissible where people have travelled through or have a connection to safe countries.

That was under the Tories, over 3 years ago. It didn't work.

I know it is all very complex and there are probably multiple reasons. But it is certainly interesting that both legal and illegal immigration have rocketed since Brexit.

No it didn’t.

In 2019 when the last government got into power net migration was 220,000

what was net migration in their last period in govt?

Sky news says you’re wrong.. again. They agree it fell 20% last year.

I have a feeling you both might be talking at cross purposes. This is the graph from that article:

I think “No it didn’t” is clear enough. Though I do appreciate he went on to say something completely different about something completely different.

Saying the last government got in, in 2019 is not very credible when he has also said on other threads they were in power for 14 years.

Looking at the longer term trends.

Seems like a bit of a RTTM effect.

The UK is full at the moment

Those seeking hand outs need to go else where

The country is going down the collective toilet and can no longer afford yet more spongers

And if these fruit cakes don’t like our way of life etc than they can go and do one else where

If a third of asylum seekers come on small boats, how do the other two thirds get here. Are they people who originally entered legally on some sort of visa.

Are going to be released soon, it will show net migration has plummeted

The Reform supporters will deny it.....they will be screaming about small boats

You are trolling with this right ? RIGHT ?
