We live in a 1930's semi with a shared mains supply with 3 other houses, that comes into our property from the back garden. We think the shared pipe runs between both sets of semi's, and branches off into each of the 4 houses.

We'd like to get our own mains supply fitted, from the mains pipe on the front footpath. Can we get the new supply pipe laid up to our boundary, and just pay the water board to connect it up?

If so, how deep does it need to be, and can it be moled under a block paved driveway that's 9m long to save lifting the blocks etc?

Ask your water supplier. Because you're on a shared supply they'll probably treat you as a new connection and charge you accordingly.
Is your existing supply lead? If so it might be worth exploring what the cost would be to replace the shared setup with individual connections (water co will financially incentivise lead removal)
Moling- depends what else is down there, depth for water is usually 3'. Almost certainly cheaper and easier to lift the blocks and (pay someone to) relay them afterwards
