Hi there
Haven't been here in a while... Built a garage in 2007 with help from here and it's holding up well... Was my first time doing any sort of concrete work.
Slate roof, velux windows, parapet gutter to neighbours boundary wall, wired it with it's own consumer unit plumbed it, electric doors the whole shebang!!

Anyways the one thing I didn't need to do was the floor.

Now I'm thinking of building a porch at the back of the house... Basically a lean to roof with a concrete slab underneath.
What should the slab consist of??.. How much/deep to dig out.
What depth of hardcore/sand and concrete should I put in there and should I put in any steel??

Cheers
Marty.
