I'm hopeless at pricing and need to wise up a bit, so, sorry if this sounds a bit nosey but I would appreciate some advice ......

Can I have your thoughts on standard pricing to run 15/22mm surface and underfloor? does this include soldered fittings or not? if not what is a normal standard charge for non compression fittings

Ta

MODS - hope this doesn't violate any rules as I'm not asking for a price per se, just general advice :)

Yes it breaks the rules, as someone else will also probably delight in telling you.

As for price per metre, there's so many variables it's not worth the bother, though I wasted money on the much applauded Spons guide - what a pointless book that is unless you're doing mega projects. Take a guess at how many 1/2 days it will take, and make sure you have something for contigencies, then give an approximate price for materials, not forgetting to add 40% if you're vat registered, and 60% if you're not. Add the labour rate you charge and there's your answer.

If the price is too dear and you don't get the job, why worry, you gave your best price, and any less the job would not have been worth it. You can always sell cheap. There are people around who will give you the work because they trust you to do a good job, not because you do a cheap one. Just make sure it's done properly.

agree....i price it according to how long it will take plus contingency and mats....
mind u i have more than often got my timings wrong !!!
