I’m in the process of having an extension built. My builders want to begin installing floorboards but the building is not sealed. The windows have delayed so while they have made the building “watertight” it is not fully sealed. They argue it will be fine but will replace or repair if they buckle but that’s not a satisfactory solution. How essential is acclimatising floorboards?

Are they softwood floorboards or is it a sheet material floor?
Should be fine .
